The hugely successful, recently refurbished AEIL VIP Lounge had an adjoining room which was to be hired for event nights as a private party space, accommodating groups of up to 12 people. The design needed to relate to the adjoining VIP Lounge but have an extra level of luxury & personalisation.
Key features & unexpected surprises were drivers in the scheme design. Quirky, humorous pieces of furniture were specified to add to the overall eclectic feel of the room, including a 6metre bespoke pink leather sofa.
A viewing ledge has sliding panels which open up to give views across the main AEIL VIP Lounge below. A mobile drinks trolley was converted from an existing flight case & a concealed full height, full width storage cupboard housed a bar, fridge & cloaks cupboard.
The main feature was a large 3metre mirrored star, with dressing room style lightbulbs to the perimeter edge.
The room envelope was finished in dark tones, with a black painted ceiling, textured black embossed wallpaper & a patterned black rug.
A suspended bronze metal frame & concrete effect wallpaper completed the eclectic look & feel.
The Dressing Room provides visitors with an extra-special, memorable experience of their visit to the O2.
