The
Challenge
Following the success of The Ivy Brighton, The Caprice Restaurant group wanted to open a venue in Manchester. The challenge for Platform was to take a modern, four-storey building in the Financial District and transform it into a landmark venue for dining in the city.
The
Thinking
Similar to Brighton, our brief was eclectic, demanding and fun. We needed to create an experience cross four floors with three distinct offerings, each with its own unique personality. Lastly, each space had to be the talk of the town.
The
Answer
We wanted the spaces to be bold, over the top and a sensory over-load. Each floor needed its own maximalist identity, topped off with an exclusive roof terrace. It needed to be somewhere that would be remembered and talked about for years to come.
The
Effect
With over 500 covers, The Ivy Manchester was the biggest restaurant opening in 2018. If you want to show off, impress visitors, be seen, this is the place to be.
