The
Challenge
This iconic marque asked us to design a Development Laboratory suite at their HQ in Crewe. The space needed to be forward looking but still retain a sense of the heritage of the Bentley brand.
The
Thinking
The Development Laboratory had to be a flexible space able to display everything from a new stereo control panel through to a complete car in order to allow the Bentley design team to gain feedback on a range of future products. Wall displays and furniture all needed to be quickly changed to suit multiple layouts and functions.
The
Answer
We designed an angled display plinth system, echoing speed and movement, which could be re-configured to display elements of varying sizes. Modular wall panels, which all have a plug and play capability and exchangeable graphic system, provide flexibility. Bespoke furniture, upholstered in the Bentley workshop, injects the quality and heritage expected from such a distinguished brand.

Effect
The Development Laboratory suite provides Bentley customers with a luxurious environment in which to enjoy the selection of every finish and detail of their new car, adding yet more to the overall desirability of the brand.
