IMEX cancelled their Frankfurt live event due to COVID-19. To retain their market position, they wanted to create a gift for the business events community.
Platform used Storyscape to build IMEX a virtual 3D environment. But this is not in the obvious, ‘trade show replica’ way that has been done before. Instead, we created a new 3D world, an experience that told the story of IMEX’s content.
Steered by IMEX’s event theme, Nature, we created a playful exploratory world. The world was a series of islands - each built with a distinct look, feel, colour palette and sounds.
There were 12,500 social engagements and 56,000 visits in its May launch. It became a memorable experience that the business events industry could not stop talking about.
